2010 Grape Pruning Class

Feb 20th / 9am

Bring hand pruners and loppers we will have a limited supply available at the winery.

Learn basics of grapevine pruning and get hands-on training!
Classroom instruction will start at 9am followed by vineyard demonstration in the afternoon; coffee and doughnuts will be available.

Coming North on I-35
Take exit 91, turn right. Look for US 77 signs, follow signs North 9 miles to Slaughterville. Turn left at Shamrock Gas Station. We are South of the gas station.

From Oklahoma City
Follow I-35 South to Norman, take exit 108A (HWY 9 East). Go East on HWY 9 to US HWY 77, exit and turn left at stop light. Follow 77 South to Slaughterville (approx 9 miles). Turn right at Shamrock Gas Station, we are directly South of the gas station.

Educational Opportunities

Frontier Country Wine Growers meet at Canadian River Winery on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm Wine tasting after each meeting. Call Bill at 872-5565 or e-mail me at crwinery@aol.com

We frequently hold classes and seminars to educate the public on how to better care for their vineyard. We have joined together with other wineries and vineyards to offer these classes and support our local growers.
